Last week I was on hand in Orlando when President Trump announced his re-election campaign. This week the Democrats had their first debates of the presidential cycle. As both sides ratchet up for the 2020 election, it is becoming clear that President Trump is the best choice to continue moving America ahead.

The Democratic candidates are fighting to move as far to the left as possible. Promising new handouts in exchange for votes. Whether it is Bernie Sanders offering to cancel all student loans or Andrew Yang who wants to give everyone $1,000 a month, it seems that the only thing they seem to agree on is that we should move towards socialism.

While they fight to move to the extreme left, President Trump has been hard at work delivering for the American people. Since the 2016 election, over 6 million jobs have been created and the wages of American families have grown at record levels. Republicans have delivered historic tax reform that has saved money for a large majority of hard working citizens.

President Trump has also made America stronger in dealing with foreign powers. He nixed a climate deal that was unfair and would have a negative impact on our nation. He ended the horrible deals that the previous administration made with Cuba and Iran. The president has made smarter and fairer trade deals with our trading partners.

For example when Congress finally ratifies the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, the deal would correct trade imbalances and bring our deals with Canada and Mexico into the 21st century. The USMCA would create thousands of more jobs, spur economic growth, raise wages and expand market access for America’s farmers.

We are also safer as a nation than we were on Election Day in 2016. Our military has been rebuilt. Isis has been largely defeated and the remnants of the organization are on the run. The president has also taken steps to secure our border and now even Mexico is assisting in these goals.

President Trump stood by his commitment and has appointed judges that uphold the rule of law. He has had nominated and confirmed two Supreme Court Justices and 117 federal judges. These judges were highly qualified and stand by the principles of the rule of law and will end judicial activism that has plagued the judiciary.

All of this has happened in just three and a half years. One can only imagine the achievements we can make with four more years of Republican leadership.

While the Democrats try to out-socialist one another, Republicans are going to be touting these achievements. I fully expect the American people to choose progress over handouts, and on the evening of Nov. 3, 2020 will re-elect Donald Trump as President of the United States.
